The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is based at the County Oak Medical Centre , Carden Hill, Hollingbury, provides free information and guidance to patients, carers and the public about local NHS services. They offer information on a wide range of areas such as;
* health conditions like diabetes and asthma
* local and national support networks and groups
* local health and social care services
* health and lifestyle issues like diet and nutrition
* volunteering opportunities
* sports activities
* housing, financial help and carers support services
The centre is run by trained information assistants from PALS and all information is given in an informal and confidential setting.
The centre is open to everybody, you do not need to be registered with Carden or Warmdene surgeries to visit the centre. The centre is open Mon, Tues,Wed and Fri (ring 01273 545935 or 0800 013 0251 for opening hours) or when the centre is closed you can post a written query into a sealed box outside and an information assistant will contact you.
